Sometimes things aren’t what they appear to be.
Take this picture, for example. What do you see? Perhaps the bark of a tree or even moss hanging from a branch.
It’s neither. I took this picture in 2006 and you might be surprised to know it’s ash raining down from the Fourth of July fireworks show.
I love this picture because the image is seen in so many different ways.
We all have a different perspective, not just in taking photos, but in how we see our lives and the circumstances surrounding us. This photo reminds me that sometimes it takes a new set of eyes and a fresh perspective to see things differently, and to recognize what’s right in front of us.
