Each month I’ve offered a tip to help you declutter and organize your home one room at a time. If you have been following the suggested activities, your home should not only be more organized, but more peaceful.
This month, the focus shifts to you and the way you plan to organize your time in the coming year.
Your schedule in December probably revolves around buying presents, wrapping gifts and distributing holiday letters, but it should also include time to start planning what you want to accomplish in the New Year.
This month get inspired to Create Your Life List.
Create Your Life List
Some people make bucket lists, but I prefer to create my own Life List because I believe you should be experiencing things throughout your life. A Life List is comprised of things that make you happy and inspire you to get out and live life now instead of waiting for some unknown moment in the future.
To make your Life List, start listing things you want to do outside of your normal activities. It could be something as extreme as jumping out of a plane or driving a car over 120 miles per hour, but don’t limit yourself to outside-the-box ideas. Attending a hockey game, visiting a specific vacation destination, or dining at a certain restaurant you’ve heard about but never tried are all items that could go on a Life List.
Find inspiration from the people you’re around. If you hear about an activity that sounds fun, write it down. It’s the first step in making sure it’s something you actually do, because writing it down triggers your subconscious to start figuring out how to get it done. You’ll also be more inclined to share your life-list items with other people and make connections that could make your life-long dream of driving a school bus come true.
Dream big and add to your list when inspired. Just because it’s on the list doesn’t mean you have to do it, and the goal is not to accomplish everything at one time, or even in one year. Pick three things, big or small, you want to experience next year. Calendar them. And plan to live your life right now.
Your actions inspire others. When you live life now, you inspire others to do the same. Take time this month to dream big and inspire others. Share on XInspired Action:
Calendar 30 minutes to sit down with a notebook, pen and your favorite beverage. Allow yourself to dream big. Create a Life List that exhilarates and fulfills you.
